Electronic Muscle Stimulator (EMS) is quite safe for any individual capable of taking normal exercise, providing it is used accordingly to the instructions.
If you are p regnant, have a pacemaker, metal plates or pins, diabetes, or high blood pressure, you should not use electronic muscle stimulators (EMS)

SURETONE models are portable and compact. The Professional model has a handy handle for lifting and moving to another room and fits well on a chair or trolley. The Executive model fits into a sports bag. You can use it anywhere – at home, work or at the gym.
A thirty-five minute treatment of Electronic Muscle Stimulator (EMS) at average intensity can be equivalent to one thousand sit-ups. Electronic Muscle Stimulators do not substitute cardio-vascular exercise.
More often than not, muscle tone improvement can be felt after your very first session. Improved circulation will show in reduced swelling of the legs and a pleasant feeling of wellbeing will be felt afterwards. The speed of maximum improvement depends entirely upon the condition of your muscles at the beginning. On average, good improvements are noticeable after 4-6 weeks of consistent treatments.
With the Biphasic waveform, the current travels in both directions and as a result, allows for even distribution of electrical stimulation from both pads, allowing symmetrical development of the muscle. With the Monophasic waveform, the current only travels in one direction and the power on each pad is not as evenly distributed as in a Biphasic machine.

Like any form of exercise, the results are never permanent unless you do something to maintain them. We suggest daily treatment from onset for a minimum of three weeks, with 1-2 sessions weekly thereafter. By having 1-2 sessions per week, you should be able to maintain your results. Do not increase your calorie intake. In order to also keep your weight down, expend as much energy as consumed.

There are various forms of muscle movement – Passive Exercise being one. EMS is ideal for just toning, firming and tightening and will give you the muscle definition you need.
The SURETONE muscle exercisers should be used in conjunction with a regular weight resistant training routine when trying to build bulk. You can use your SURETONE system on the muscles that you’ve just worked out on a given day for about 15-45 minutes after the workout. You can also use your SURETONE unit before training (to pre-exhaust a muscle) and during training (to make exercise more intense). If you’re participating in a sport that does not require a weight training regimen, SURETONE can be used every day or 2nd day.
Passive exercise is ideal for tightening those post-natal bulges back into shape. Treatment should start approximately 6 weeks after delivery. Very gentle exercise to begin with, then gradually building up over a number of weeks.
EMS works well for all age groups. If your muscles require a lot of improvements, the results will seem even more dramatic.
Your SURETONE unit is specifically designed for toning, tightening and firming slack muscles, and does this very well. You will lose centimeters on the desired places, enabling you to fit into your favorite clothes.
However, when EMS treatments are combined with a healthy eating plan, you will lose weight as well while acquiring a slimmer, trimmer, firmer and more toned figure.
Passive exercise enables you to exercise and strengthen the stomach and back muscles without putting strain on the spine. Strong stomach muscles are of utmost importance to help support the spine.
Those with re-occurring hamstring problems, sore knees, week ankles or strained elbows benefit from EMS. Along with conventional treatments and a good physiotherapist, EMS helps reduce rehabilitation time by helping control swelling and strengthening weak muscles.
Your SURETONE unit can also be used to promote recovery after exercise. Using a unit at a low intensity setting will cause the muscle to be flushed and help remove the toxins that build up after a work-out. This prevention of free radical damage means that the muscle recovers quicker and thus has more time for growth!
